'Redcastle: A place in Scotland's History'
by Graham Clark
We welcome comments, sugggestions and any information that you may have about the history of our area. The Ross-shire village of North Kessock lies on the north shore of the narrows between the Moray and the Beauly Firths, opposite the city of Inverness, capital of the Highlands of Scotland.
For hundreds of years a ferry plied between South and North Kessock, providing the direct link between Inverness and the Black Isle - a peninsula of farmland and forest rich in thousands of years of history.
Our website was created to share some of the abundance of history of this area of the Black Isle – the parishes of Knockbain and Killearnan.
